What Happened to BP and XP?
XP (Experience Points) and BP (Builder Points) were the foundation of our early rewards system, designed to encourage both players and developers to actively engage with the B3 ecosystem. Together, they helped us recognize the earliest contributors, whether through gameplay, building, or community participation.
What Was XP?
XP was designed for players on basement.fun, rewarding activity, skill, and consistency across our games and events.
Key Features:
- Earned Through Engagement: Playing games, completing challenges, and being active in the community earned you XP.
- Community Driven: XP encouraged friendly competition and deeper involvement in the B3 ecosystem.
What Was BP?
BP was an on-chain reward system geared toward developers and builders. It gave third-party devs a way to reward players inside their own games and apps built on the B3 superchain.
Key Features:
- Developer-Created Rewards: Devs could integrate BP into their games as an incentive system.
- Player Earning: Players earned BP for in-game actions, milestones, and goals set by those developers.
- Ecosystem Utility: BP was meant to drive retention and activity across a broader B3 game network.
XP vs. BP
Both systems worked together:
- XP was for player progression and rewards across basement.fun.
- BP was for developer-driven incentives in B3-native games.
Why Were They Removed?
To streamline the ecosystem and reduce fragmentation, we sunset XP and BP as part of our Token Generation Event (TGE).
What Happened to My BP and XP?
All eligible BP and XP were converted into $B3 tokens before and during the TGE. This means:
- Your prior contributions were not lost.
- Instead, they were rewarded with $B3, our official token powering the ecosystem going forward.
If you participated actively before the TGE, your XP/BP was calculated and added to your claimable total.
Can I Still Claim?
No. The TGE claim window ended on February 24, 2025.
